Scale: H0 (1:87) | Size: A3 | Thickness: 10 mm
A retaining wall is a structure designed to retain or support soil behind it in the landscape, or to provide additional support to prevent soil erosion downward. It is often used to create different levels or backgrounds on small surfaces, such as a diorama or model situation.
This modern wall, made of poured concrete sections, is a common feature in today’s civil engineering projects, such as tunnels and bridge abutments. These recently constructed concrete elements show minimal weathering, with only rust streaks from the metal bolts used in their construction still visible.
Material
This Modeltex sheet is premium printed on both sides (double). The thickness, which varies from 10 mm to 3 mm depending on the scale you choose, is realistic to scale for a heavy wall. HO 1/87: 10 mm, N 1/160: 5 mm.
The sheets can be cut, scratched, and distressed to your liking. Add holes, cracks, grass, or graffiti to create your own custom wall. (Also check out our pre-printed graffiti art walls!)
You can cut the sheet in half to make a longer wall section.
Tip: For an even more realistic look, add a coat of matte spray varnish after your adjustments.
