As Magica Miniatura BV I build model railways and dioramas on behalf of private individuals and companies. I also like to make models, props or miniature sets for film, commercials and social content. With everything I build, I aim for adding magic to the model. What makes it special? How does it tell a story? What keeps you looking at it for hours?

I have been building models seriously for over 25 years. My work can regularly be seen in international magazines, such as MIBA, Modelspoormagazine, Continental Modeller, Train Miniature Magazine and Railhobby. I also make Prutsvlogs in which I show step by step how to build something. Many model railway enthusiasts also know my old site Adventure in Miniature .

My background is film and (digital) marketing communications. I graduated as a director from the Dutch Film and Television Academy and I have decades of experience as a creative director in advertising. My education and work have given me a well-developed creative eye for people, situations and visual worlds. I like to apply that in my models. I make my miniatures in almost any scale and style. I have built model railways in all kinds of themes and eras. I also like to look for new challenges when building dioramas, from a dystopian flying tram to a lonely bookstore on the last piece of earth.
