Ballast medium gray blend
Realistic ballast from Woodland Scenics. Made of crushed and painted stones. Mix of gray and light gray. Combine different colors for a realistic-looking ballast bed.
This is how you apply ballast... sprinkle the ballast over the rails and distribute it between the rails with a fine brush. Make sure the ballast doesn't protrude above the sleeper and that there's no ballast on the sides of the rails. Spray the ballast with water and apply a drop of diluted adhesive or Scenic Cement over the ballast. After 24 hours of drying, your ballast bed is ready.
